Who we are

Da Massi Restaurant is one of the oldest in Trastevere, behind Piazza Trilussa, in Via della Scala 34. The restaurant opened in the 1950s as a meeting place for the inhabitants of the neighborhood and only after a few years did it become a restaurant business. For many generations ours has always been a Roman cuisine with all the typical dishes of the Roman and Jewish tradition, from artichokes alla giudia to rigatoni with pajata, from pasta alla gricia to amatriciana, from cacio e pepe alla carbonara, all with homemade pasta and respecting the flavors of tradition. You will be able to taste the best typical specialties, from appetizers to first courses, passing through second courses and side dishes, of which you will find a great choice and all made with top quality products from the Roman countryside. And all this with great respect for the excellent quality / price ratio that has always made us famous in the neighborhood and among our customers. We are waiting for you in a characteristic and charming environment, you can admire our ceilings with wooden beams, the ancient walls of Trastevere and the ancient Roman hospitality.
